Dr. Aisha Alshammary is a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Consultant,
Ministry of Health (MOH), Saudi Arabia
Dr. Alshammary currently is a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Consultant in Alyamamah Hospital.
She Graduated from King Saud University, Riyadh, 1994.
She received Diploma in Child Health (DCH) from University of Edinburgh in 1996 and Saudi Board Certificate in Pediatrics in 2002.
In 2006 she finished her Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship from University of Alberta, Canada.
Dr. Alshammary served as the Head of Immunization Unit and National Manager of Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) from 2012-2015 in Public Health Agency, MOH.
She has extensive experience in the field of immunization and vaccine preventable diseases (VPD’s) and she attended several committees and experts groups meetings at WHO, US-CDC, and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Dr. Alshammary is one of the establishing group of GNN (Global Network of NITAGs) and is the former vice chair of the Steering Committee, Global Network of NITAGs (GNN). and also one of establishing Group of International Association of Immunization Managers (IAIM)
She participated as speaker and organizer in several conferences and workshops and contributed to several publications and guidelines in the field of immunization, VPD’s and infectious diseases
